Court bundles that survive scrutiny
A compliant bundle is one document, in the right order, with continuous pagination a judge can cite. Merge pleadings, witness statements, expert reports and exhibits into one PDF, reorder before you commit, insert separator pages between sections, then apply continuous page numbers across the whole file so “page 214” means the same thing to every party.
Because numbering is written into the page content rather than applied by a viewer, it survives printing, portal upload and re-saving. Index pages can be added at the front and the searchable text layer is preserved, so the bundle remains keyword-searchable for cross-examination.
Redaction that actually removes the text
Drawing a black box in a PDF editor hides text visually while leaving it selectable underneath — the failure mode behind most public redaction incidents.
