Convert Revolut PDF Statements to CSV

Revolut statements are some of the most awkward in UK banking — multiple currencies on one statement, FX rates, fees split out, and crypto and stock activity mixed in with everyday spending. This converter handles all of it, turning Revolut Personal, Revolut Business, and Revolut Pro PDFs into a CSV that's accountant-ready and audit-safe.

Revolut's PDF is not a normal bank statement

A single Revolut statement can include GBP, EUR, USD, and any other currency you hold a balance in — each with its own opening and closing balance and its own transaction list. On top of that, FX transactions show the source amount, the target amount, the rate Revolut applied, and any markup as a separate fee line. Naive PDF extractors merge currencies into a single Amount column and lose the rate, producing a CSV that fails accounting reconciliation immediately.

This converter detects every currency block in the PDF and preserves them as separate sections in the CSV (or as a single CSV with a Currency column, depending on your selection). FX rate, source amount, target amount, and any fees are kept as discrete columns so an accountant can reproduce the Revolut calculation and assess whether the FX markup was material.

Where Revolut users need this most

Revolut Business is widely used by digital agencies, e-commerce sellers, and remote-first SMEs that invoice in multiple currencies. Year-end accounts for these businesses require every currency to be reported in GBP for the P&L and balance sheet, with FX gains and losses identified. The CSV output makes this a one-pivot job in Excel.

International freelancers and digital nomads use Revolut Personal for everyday spending across countries. Self Assessment for HMRC requires foreign-currency transactions to be reported in GBP at the spot rate on the day. The CSV preserves both the original currency and the GBP-equivalent so the Self Assessment workings are defensible.

Revolut crypto and stock activity is flagged in a separate Type column ('CRYPTO_BUY', 'CRYPTO_SELL', 'STOCK_BUY', 'STOCK_DIVIDEND') so it can be split out for Capital Gains Tax reporting and excluded from trading P&L analysis.

Revolut Pro and Revolut Business cards used for client-billable expenses produce CSVs that can be filtered by counterparty and re-billed cleanly, with the original currency receipt preserved alongside the GBP charge.

Output schema

Columns: Date, Time, Currency, Description, Counterparty, Type, Amount (signed, in account currency), Fee, FX Rate (where applicable), Source Currency, Source Amount, Balance. The CSV is structured so you can filter or pivot by Currency to produce per-currency reports, or sort by Date for a chronological view across all balances.

Frequently asked questions

What statement periods are supported, and how do I export them from Revolut?
From the Revolut app: Account → Statement → choose currency and date range → 'PDF'. Revolut provides statements from account opening with no historical cap. The converter accepts up to 100 pages per upload — typically 6+ months of multi-currency activity for a busy account.
How are credits, debits, and FX rows represented in the CSV?
Revolut PDFs use a single signed Amount column per currency (positive for credits, negative for debits). FX exchanges produce two paired rows — a debit in the source currency and a credit in the target — each with their own Currency and Balance columns. The FX Rate, Source Amount, and Fee are preserved as discrete columns so the calculation is fully reproducible.
How do I import a multi-currency Revolut CSV into Xero or QuickBooks?
Xero multi-currency: filter the CSV by Currency, save as separate files (one per currency), then run Manual Statement Import per currency-denominated bank account in Xero. QuickBooks Online multi-currency: same approach, one CSV per currency. For single-currency reporting, use Excel to convert all rows to GBP using HMRC monthly average rates and import as a single GBP CSV.
Does this handle Revolut Business multi-team statements?
Yes. Each team's transactions appear in the consolidated PDF with a Team identifier — the converter preserves this as an extra Team column so per-team P&L is easy to produce.
What about Revolut savings vault, crypto, and stocks dividends?
Vault interest, stock dividends, and crypto staking rewards are tagged in the Type column ('VAULT', 'STOCK_DIVIDEND', 'CRYPTO_STAKING') so they can be reported correctly for income tax and Capital Gains Tax. Vault transfers themselves are kept as discrete rows tagged 'VAULT'. Crypto and stock buy/sell trades are flagged separately for CGT working papers.
